ABOUT THE MAIN CHARACTERS

Human Resources Director

Gerard used to work on the other side of corporate America, but left that job to spend more time with his family. But after each day at the Harambee, he’s tempted to go back to the “man’s” world.

Information Technology
Manager & Webmaster

Because of his stocky, compact stature, everyone calls him by his childhood nickname, “Bump”! He’s a whiz with the computer and frequently saves the day ... even if it's with duct tape.

HR Administrative
Assistant

Amy's from a small town in the Midwest and it was not a very diverse community. All her knowledge of black folk came from watching MTV and the "Tyra Banks Show".

Chief Executive Officer

He’s well-educated, clever and cool as ice. Bossman always comes dressed “fly”. He's a preacher at his church on the weekends. Alaska Gov. Sara Palin and Supreme Court Judge Clarence Thomas are his heroes.

Customer service representative

RaShonda is an optimistic, religious spirit. She's a multi-tasking, single mother with inspirations to be a caterer. She’s waiting on the Big Lotto to hit, then she’s outta here.

Mailroom supervisor

Toehead separates and delivers mail. But since that only takes about an hour a day, he spends the rest of the day creating utterly useless inventions.

Morale committee
Chairman

Tom is a good ole boy and a bit old-school. He always walks around with his coffee trying to look busy. No one knows exactly what he does.

Cafeteria cashier

Takasha does not work at the HS. She works at the cafeteria on the first floor. She’s the resident gossip queen and knows everybody’s secrets.

Security guard

Wisdom is the gateway to the Harambee Society. He’s not much of a security guard. He’s more of an undiscovered philosopher. He also cuts hair in the basement.

Chief Financial Officer

The society had a vermin problem and the rats were big. To control the infestation, Mr. Bossman negotiated a job with the head rat with a position in the accounting department.
